Smoked Meats

Here at Jablow's Meats, quality begins at the source. We begin our quest for creating the highest quality smoked treats by using organic, pasture raised, hormone- and antibiotic-free meat. We don't use any chemical enhancers or shortcuts when curing and brining meat, rather, we let time work its magic. We also take no shortcuts when smoking meat, relying again on time and patience in order to achieve a product that strikes the right balance between smokey and meaty flavor.

August is shaping up to be our busiest month on record!

Find us every Monday through Friday for lunch at SF FoodLab: 11am to 2pm.

We’re also serving up lunch every Wednesday at The Window: 11am to 2pm.

Our menu has grown to include some new meaty options: from Argentine-style beef with chimichurri sauce to carnitas roast pork with avocado and jicama slaw. And of course, you can always find our top-rated pastrami and other favorites like the BLT, sausage and peppers, Cubans and more.

Event Recap: SF MOMA’s Post-Modern Ball · Apr 29 2012

We had the honor of sharing our love of pastrami with over 1,000 hungry museum-goers last Wednesday at the MOMA’s Post-Modern Ball. Quite the swanky affair, with folks dressed to the nines. And yet, as we expected, a pastrami sandwich is the perfect accessory for every outfit. 



Our friend Lance helped us crank out pastrami bites throughout the evening:



And of course, no high-class affair is complete without a deli slicer:



All in all, a successful night bringing a taste of pastrami to a great crowd of hungry folks!

Popup Recap: April · Apr 29 2012

These days we’ve been popping up like the meat fanatics we are: three, four, even five popups and other events a week. Check out some of our favorite shots from the last few weeks.

We kicked off April with a round of Wednesday lunches at The Window, a great popup spot with a rotating cast of foodie characters:



In addition to the classic pastrami, our smoky BLT made a few special appearances.


We also debuted at DaDa in the Financial District, bringing our meaty sandos to hungry folks every Tuesday and Wednesday:



Our friend James even stopped by to hand out samples.


Finally we introduced ourselves to our new neighbors at Vinyl, for a Saturday evening pastrami popup:

A December to Remember · Nov 28 2011

The month of December brings with it lots of opportunities for smoked meats and meaty treats. Here’s the latest in events and updates from Jablow’s Meats. As you can see, we are aiming to end the year on a bang:

Come to our 1st Pop-Up Restaurant – Saturday, December 3rd from 10:30-2pm
Final preparations are underway for our 1st ever pop-up restaurant this Saturday. We’re taking over Beast and the Hare in SF’s Mission District and serving up four meaty sandwiches featuring our signature bacon, pastrami, corned beef and sweet Italian sausage. Bring your friends and enjoy a tasty lunch, plus delicious naturally carbonated ginger ale courtesy of SodaCraft. Check our Facebook page for more details. We hope to see you there!

It’s Brisketfest! Wednesday, December 7th from 6-9pm
Calling all brisket fans! Jablow’s Meats will be showcasing our stuff at Brisketfest – a tribute to all things brisket – at Shotwell’s Bar (located on the corner of Shotwell and 22nd in SF) and you’re invited. We’ll be bringing our delicious NY-style pastrami on rye and serving up sandos alongside Slow Hand BBQ’s Texas-style brisket and Nute’s Thai curry brisket. Join us at the December New Taste Marketplace – Saturday, December 10th from 12-5
As always, the New Taste Marketplace is one of our favorite monthly events. Join us for the December market, grab a pastrami sandwich and pick up bacon to take home just in time for Sunday brunch. And for those of you placing holiday orders, the NTM will be a convenient pick up spot.

Farmer’s Market Update:
Jablow’s Meats has just been approved to join our first farmer’s market! More details will be coming soon but for now we are working on obtaining all of the necessary permits required before we are ready to go.
